Ulmus x viminalis Marginata

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ulmus × viminalis Lodd. Marginata (syn. Argentea) is an elm hybrid cultivar derived from the crossing U. minor subsp. minor x U. minor var. plotii Druce. It is distinguished by its leaves which have mottled grey and white margins. However, owing to susceptibility to Dutch elm disease, the tree is no longer commercially grown in the UK. A living specimen is held in the NCCPG elm collection maintained by Brighton & Hove City Council. It is not known to be cultivated in North America or Australasia.
