Coordinates: 47°45′00″N, 96°51′00″E Uliastai (Mongolian: Улиастай) is a city in Mongolia. It is located in the western part of the country, 1,115 kilometers from the capital Ulaanbaatar. Uliastai the capital of Zavhan Province and the 10th most populous city in the country with a population of 24,276 (2000 census).
