UK Best selling singles artists of all time
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Best Selling Singles Artists in the UK were revealed in a Channel 4 documentary in February 2004. Sir Cliff Richard was shown to have sold more singles than any other artist. This was followed by The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
Madonna, at number 4, was the top female artist, followed by Kylie Minogue and The Spice Girls, who were the top female group.
Comedians Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse (as their characters Smashie and Nicey) presented the television show, which took its figures from the UK Charts Company. These figures should only be taken as being accurate as of February 2004.
