The Ugandan cricket team is a national cricket team representing Uganda. It is administered by the Uganda Cricket Association, which is based in the capital, Kampala. They were originally part of the East Africa team, and then part of the East and Central Africa team, before being elected as an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1998, and they first played in the one-day ICC Trophy, which acts as a qualifying group for the 2001 Cricket World Cup. However, they did not make the World Cup proper.

In 2004, Uganda played for the first time in the ICC Intercontinental Cup, a three-day first-class competition between ICC Associate Members. They won their first game, beating Namibia comfortably, but were knocked out after a heavy defeat against Kenya.

In the 2005 competition, they first lost to Kenya, playing in Kampala for the first time.
