[edit] Cleanup needed
There are a number of problems with this article. Here are just a few that I found:
- As of 19 March 2003, any explanation of the strange lights are unknown. — this sentence just doesn't make sense.
- On 3 April 2003 a UFO was photographed flying over Baghdad, the craft was not seen by any of the civilians or solders and its unclear of what the object really was. — if no one saw the craft, how did they photograph it?
- On 6 April 2003 five cylindrical shaped UFOs were sighted near the Tigris River and that the objects were filmed and televised live on Fox News although theres no evidence that Fox News actually filmed the objects — either Fox News did show the objects or they didn't, this sentence doesn't make it clear which is the case. I edited some of the obvious errors in the first paragraph, but the remainder of the article still needs work.
Doesn't it seem painfully obvious that these aircraft are most likely US planes flying overhead? KevinPuj 22:55, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Badly written, non-encylcopedic, listed for deletion
It is unclear whether a rectangular something on a photo is a piece of rubble or a UFO? You cannot be serious. Añoranza
yeah that is pretty stupid. If it cant be indentified, isnt it a UFO?
- This has to be a leading contender for being one of the dumbest articles on Wikipedia. --Nick Dowling 02:17, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Suggest split
As everyone should well know, Iran and Iraq are not the same (it is not even funny anymore) and the events listed here do not appear to be related. What we have are separate UFO incidents in two different countries that have nothing to do with each other. I suggest a split into two articles: UFO sightings in Iran and UFO sightings in Iraq. Please vote below. Khorshid 03:40, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- Support since it is my suggestion. Khorshid 03:40, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

I have split the articles and listed Iran-Iraq UFO Sightings for deletion. Khorshid 05:25, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
