Ueno, Okinawa

Ueno (上野村; -son) was a village located in Miyako district, Okinawa, Japan.
On October 1, 2005, Hirara, the towns of Irabu and Gusukube, and the village of Ueno merged to form the city of Miyakojima, Okinawa.
As of 2003, the village has an estimated population of 3,236 and the density of 170.5 persons per km². The total area is 18.98 km².
