[edit] The sack of Gubbio: moving, I hope briefly, a sentence here.

I’m moving his sentence here because the dates don’t match.

He persuaded Frederick II not to sack Gubbio, as Frederick had Spoleto during one of his forays into Italy.

But Frederick II (at least as we style him) wasn’t around during Ubald’s lifetime. Probably Barbarossa was meant (Frederick I). But without a source I don’t want to do that ‘correction’ which might just be a ‘corruption’, and one that would take ages to be made right. —Ian Spackman 22:57, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

-Frederick Barbarossa is what was meant. The emperor was cited incorrectly as Frederick II at http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=433. I will correct this in the article. Thank you! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Polylerus (talkcontribs) 18:10, 24 October 2006.
