[edit] Airline data
I have added information obtained from untied.com. I feel that untied is a highly relevant web site, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate to mention it here. As such I tried to avoid references to the site except in the external links section.
And, this does not belong on the main page at all so I will say it here: Passengers and employees with complaints (and praise!) for UAL may visit untied.com and post their issues there. The site does provide the means of contacting UAL and also has a lot of interesting information (both for and against) UAL.
PS: Can somebody please help me format the tables in the statistics section a little better? I mean "help" as in the way that my mother helped me with my homework when I was a small child, i.e. do it for me. :)

- I don't believe that any of that hitorical data belongs. This article is about the company and not the airline. As to if that data belongs in the airline article, what makes it encylopedic? If it goes in one article will it be required in other articles? I suspect that keeping that data up to date will be a major task that is probably best left to other sites. - Well, the company -is- the airline... mostly. I think it belongs in an encyclopedia because it's factual data related to the company (or to one of the company's major services, if you separate it that way). You may be right, though, about it being consistent with other airline carrier company articles. While I would like to add the data to the other airline articles, the truth is it -is- available publicly elsewhere online (at the US DOT site), and maintaining it here is probably silly. Maybe the stats should be removed and the DOT report link should be added to all of the airline carrier articles? Not sure... --JCipriani 23:16, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe the link question is best asked on Wikipedia:WikiProject Airlines and seek consensus there? Vegaswikian 04:10, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Don't ask me. Everything I added got deleted anyway. --JCipriani 20:48, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
