[edit] Hello!
Let's not let them forget about us northerners. Lots of Wikipedians hail from the frigid north, but they tend to huddle in small coves to fend off the cold, and rarely chatter among themselves. Since there are many good Wikipedians from this area, and over 80 million people in general, we should hang out sometime. +sj+ 18:05, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] U.S. North COTW
Please help the articles above develop some breadth. And list other articles about northern topics that you'd like to see for the WP-wide Collaboration of the Week. I'd like to see something about major blizzards, canals and lake clusters, maybe even the boundary waters b/t the US and Canada.
[edit] Where are all the projects
-
- No WikiProject New York or Maine ... see Category:WikiProject Massachusetts and Parent cat. See also: Talk:Canadian Shield, Talk: Catskill Mountains... and don't forget your templates like the Canucks did! FrankB 20:29, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Straw Poll
Due to the recent turmoil on community pages, a large community straw poll is being conducted. Wikipedia:Communities strawpoll is now open for voting. Despite resolutions made on this page, many others are facing turmoil similar to what this page is, or once did face. In an effor to solve the issue, I invite all Wikipedians to vote there by September 18th on this page following the procedures and ballot instuctions explained there. Thank You. [edit] Primary (Elementary) schools in Northern Ireland
I have been adding Primary schools (Elementary schools in your language) articles for Northern Ireland, largely stubs, to which new contributors have started to add to and develop etc, but have come under attack by people proposing that all such primary school articles should be deleted as being non-notable etc. You can see the debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abercorn Primary School. A little help would be useful (assuming you agree with my arguments). I have been quoting USA as a precedent area where Elementary schools are listed and articles appear. Thanks.
