U.S. Route 37
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
U.S. Highway 37 was a proposal for a north-south U.S. Highway put forth by AASHO between 1934 and 1944. The proposal was part of a plan to eliminate the split route on U.S. Highway 31 between Sellersburg, Indiana and Nashville, Tennessee. US 37 would have run between Sellersburg, Indiana and Chattanooga, Tennessee following roughly the route now followed by U.S. Highway 31, U.S. Highway 31E, Kentucky Highway 90, and U.S. Highway 127 between the two cities. While the proposal was never adopted, it did appear on some maps.
