U.S. Office of War Information

The U.S. Office of War Information (OWI) was an agency of the United States Government created in June 1942. The Office prepared and disseminated information and propaganda regarding World War II to the American public. Information communicated included warnings about foreign spies and attempts to recruit women into war work. Methods included posters and radio broadcasts.
