Tyrolean traverse

Tyrolean traverse is a mountaineering manoeuvre that involves traversing between two high points on a rope strung taut between them. Is often used as a retreat method from isolated pinnacles.

This is also a method used in the assassination plot of Franz Ferdinand.^{[citation needed]}
