Type 363 Radar

Rear view of the Type 363 antenna

The Type 363 radar is often mistaken for Type 360 radar. The main visual difference can be found on the antenna. The Type 360 has a lattice type array while the Type 363 has a single solid spine.

The Type 363 have only be found to be installed on Luhu DDG 112 and selected Luda upgrades (109).

Given that this radar is not widely deployed in PLA-N, it seems possible that this radar is not produced in China and the Type designation is just a local designation. All new surface combatants are using the Type 360S or the Type 364 instead.
