Tymon Dogg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tymon Dogg is a violin, classical guitar, and keyboards player. He has been involved in music since the 1960s with his release of "The Bitter Thoughts of Little Jane" single. An early friend and collaborator of Joe Strummer in The 101'ers, he also wrote, played violin, and sang the vocals for the song "Lose This Skin" on The Clash's 1980 Sandinista! album. In 2000 he rejoined with Strummer as a part of The Mescaleros. In an interview after Joe Strummer's death, Dogg said he planned to continue making music. Tymon also had a part in the making of the Black Hawk Down film soundtrack. In March 2006, Tymon fronted a new band called The Quickening and they played their debut gig at The Spitz in London's East End. A new EP/CD/VINYL release by The Quikening is due out sometime around the end of September.
