Tyler Reed (born Oct 6, 1982) is an American Football player for the Chicago Bears. He was drafted out of Penn State in the 6th round of the 2006 NFL Draft to play Guard. Reed signed a four-year contract with the Bears in June 2006 [1].

Collegiately, Reed started 30 games at right guard whilst at Penn State[2]. Reed started 11 games on the offensive line as a senior, playing a key role on the Nittany Lion team the finished the season as the number three ranked college football team in the nation.

The 2005 Penn State football season culminated in the 2006 Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. A post-game photograph from that game captured Reed extending a hand to a defeated FSU player after the third overtime[3].

Tyler is a product of Thomas Jefferson High School, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. As a "TJ" student athlete, Reed won the WPIAL Class AAA shot-put championship in 2000[4].

Reed earned a Bachelor of Science in Heath and Human Development from Penn State in 2005.
