Took a two-month hiatus from a hobby that was getting too overwhelming for the petty vandalisms and overt frauds that I was encountering. Shall try again in a bit, to see if this is still fun. Tychocat 10:01, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Experimental, yet. I see lots of interesting graphics and things in other user pages. Tychocat 09:10, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

I am dismayed by the petty and random vandalisms which appear throughout WP. Some are very subtle, and I wonder about overall veracity because of this.

WP is regularly a joke in The Onion, and I see (or have seen) and agree with every point they make. 'Way too much material for any one person to edit, much less properly review. I can spend an hour on research for an afd nom, and this is just one of my hobbies.

[edit] SWAT picture

First, the picture is of an SRT, not a SWAT team. It says that in the image description. I don't know how every form of Special Response Team suddenly qualifies as a SWAT unit. I think it would be better to use a picture of an actual SWAT team. And the guys in the picture are clearly in early twenties or younger, too young to have the experience required to be members of any sort of SRT or SWAT team. It's far more likely they are kids doing some sort of camp/training exercise, but not actual team members. Some guy 19:51, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

The difference between an SRT and a SWAT team is just the name. It's why there's also a list of other SWAT synonyms. I'm more uneasy about the deletion about the photo, which seems to be your judgement call regarding what you think the age of the people in the photo. Unless you can say the photo is a fake, can we use it? Tychocat 05:01, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
But SWAT is a specific type of team. I'd feel it's more accurate to say SWAT is a type of SRT, but not all SRTs are SWAT teams. I see no reason for SRT to be listed under SWAT. I'm not like an admin or anything, so I don't give permission and I can't stop you from using the picture, but I think we should find a better picture. I don't know where to look but there's got to be a good one in the public domain somewhere. Some guy 05:13, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
I just realized this isn't your talk page. Feel free to move this all to it. Sorry about that. Some guy 08:43, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Tychocat 16:46, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
