[edit] About image tag

Instead of using fairuse for those screenshots you uploaded, maybe you can consider using screenshot? But anyway, thank you for your screenshots. --kctsang 09:23, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Hi Tyan23 and welcome to Wikipedia!

I couldn't help but notice that you're doing classic game console screenshots. They look excellent! I was just wondering what your plan was in terms of any other consoles' games that you might be planning to do. You've done screenshots for the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, and Intellivision so far (you knew that :) . Just leave me a return message on my user talk page and enjoy Wikipedia!

[edit] Screenshots and vfd

Hi -- I think the screenshots are excellent and to sidestep the VFD controversy, you should move them to the articles about the respective consoles. I think the Intellivision article would benefit greatly from a collection of several representative screenshots sprinkled through the article, and then a dozen more shown at the bottom. [edit] Super Mario 64

How about creating a gallery's worth of original screenshots for Super Mario 64? The article is the current gaming collaboration of the week, here's a chance for you to help contributing :) - Fredrik | talk 22:50, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject: Computer and Video Games

I've noticed your contributions to game-related articles. Maybe you'd be interested in this WikiProject? I don't see you on the list of participants. Andre (talk) 22:45, Oct 12, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] C64 frogger

Please specify the precise version since there were multiple Froggers made for the 64. In fact, your screenshot doesn't seem to match any of the Froggers on lemon64.com.

The Sierra version is probably the best known. Mirror Vax 11:57, 22 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Nice Screenshot for Shinobi

Just wanted to say, nice screenshots. I took the title screen of Revenge of Shinobi because I thought it looked cool, but your screen shot tips are absolutely spot-on and looking back, it was a mistake. The new screenshot looks good and gives a lot more info about the game. Good stuff. -Krymson 02:30, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] The C64 Zaxxon screenshot does not reflect the best version

The screenshot for C64 Zaxxon appears to be of the cartridge version made by Sega. This version is relatively rare and generally regarded as being inferior to the much more common Synapse version. In fact, most all the Sega cartridge games for the C64 were rather poor with Congo Bongo being exceptionally bad. The disk/cassette versions had better graphics and more levels.

As for Lemon 64; It often doesn't list all the versions of a game that were released. A better resource for checking different versions is Gamebase 64 (www.gb64.com). Click the GBC tab and then browse or search. It doesn't have as much info on each game, but it has a more complete list of C64 games.

[edit] PNG scaling problems

I noticed your handy hints for game screenshots, and thought the following might be worth mentioning. It appears that when low-colour PNGs are scaled by Imagemagick, problems occur. Case in point, I ended up creating a smaller version of the screenshot on the Faxanadu article, because the 5kb image auto-scaled to 250px ends up 205kb! I don't know if or when this problem will be fixed, but as you can see, it can have quite an impact on the download time of an article.--Drat (Talk) 13:18, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How to emulate Saturn

There is an emulator called SSF. Go to the homepage and download the first link. You need a Pentium 4 to run it fast enough and the BIOS Renegadeviking
