Ty Maurin

Ty Maurin (born August 16, 1982 in La Mirada, California) is an American soccer player, who currently plays left midfielder for F.C. Dallas of Major League Soccer.

Maurin played four years of college soccer at UCLA, finishing his career with one goal and 7 assists in 66 games. During his college years he also played with Orange County Blue Star in the USL Premier Development League, where he played alongside Jürgen Klinsmann.

Upon graduating, Maurin was selected 29th overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft by the Dallas Burn. Although he remains a relatively promising prospect, Maurin received no league playing time in 2004, getting his only opportunities during U.S. Open Cup games.
