Ty Inc. is an American toy company that specializes in the production of stuffed animals and is named after its founder and chairman, Ty Warner. Ty Inc. was created in 1983 and incorportaed in 1986. Ty Warner founded the company after a trip to Italy, where he noticed plush cats that he hadn't seen in the United States.
By far their most famous line of products are the Ty Beanie Babies, but Ty also manufactures other lines of stuffed toys. The Ty logo is a red heart with the lower-case letters "ty." A tag in this shape is found affixed to all Ty stuffed toys.
Ty Inc. has no relationship to Tyco Toys or Tyco International.
