Two for the Seesaw

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Two for the Seesaw is a 1962 drama film, directed by Robert Wise.

[edit] Plot summary

The film is about the ups and downs of love, between Jerry Ryan (played by Robert Mitchum), a lonely early middle aged Nebraskan lawyer transplanted to New York after his breakup with his college sweetheart who he still loves, and Gittel Mosca (Shirley MacLaine), a flighty, needy (though she doesn't want to be) struggling dancer, who has yet to make it at 29, and most likely never will.

Tagline: a square from Nebraska? an off-beatnik from Greenwich Village? It just didn't figure... that they would... that they could... that they did!
