Twistoid is a character in the popular toy line Masters of the Universe (MOTU).
A member of the Evil Warriors, he is a cybernetic warrior with no legs, whose lower body is shaped like a spinning top, enabling him to twist mechanically along the ground at super-speed. This enables him to trick opponents and easily dodge attacks.
[edit] Character history
Twistoid was one of the last figures to be released in the 1980s MOTU toy line. He was created as an evil rival to the heroic character of Rotar. Given his late introduction into the toy line, Twistoid is one of the line's lesser-known characters and has received little exposure. The only official medium to feature Twistoid was the Mattel mini-comic "Energy Zoids". In this story, Skeletor stole the machine with which Man-At-Arms had created the Heroic Warrior Rotar and used it to create Twistoid.
Mattel had also designed a vehicle called the Gyratakker which was intended to launch Rotar and Twistoid into combat. This vehicle featured in the comic, but the toy line was cancelled before it could be released.
