Twisted Angel is the eighth album by American country singer LeAnn Rimes, released in the United States on October 1, 2002 (see 2002 in music) by Curb Records. The album her most critically panned. Many fans of her previous country sound protested this album's much heavier, more prominent pop leanings, claiming that Rimes had "sold out".
The track "Wound Up" is said to allude to Rimes' life as a child star, with her references to a girl named "Little Carrie Ann" and how many expect her to be perfect, yet she has many imperfections and frustrations she hides from the public.
LeAnn performed the track "Love Is an Army" at the 2003 Country Music Awards.
Twisted Angel has become a fan favorite amongst LeAnn's fan base. The album shows LeAnn's vocal ability.
