[edit] Plot
Jessica Shepard (Judd) is a female police officer, whose parents died tragically years ago. Her boss, Police Commissioner John Mills (Jackson), helps in raising and nurturing her career. She is promoted into the Homicide Department after nabbing a top fugitive through some luck. She is assigned with Mike Delmarco (Garcia) in the department. The trouble begins as her one-night-stands' partners that she met at the bar are being murdered one by one with burnt cigarette marks on their bodies. Not to mention that Shepard's alcoholic habit is exploited by the murderer. Suspicion arises with Shepard herself being accused as the suspect.
