Twi- is an Old English prefix for two. Some words using the prefix are:

  • A twibil is a type of double-bladed battle axe.
  • Twice means two times.
  • A twig is a small branch of a tree. The prefix is thought to refer to the forking nature of twigs.
  • Twilight is the light between day and night.
  • Twins are two children born at the same time to the same mother.
