Should it be Twinkie-Wiener Sandwich instead of Twinkie-Weiner Sandwich? On dictionary.com wiener is the correct spelling, however when I do a search for it on google, it appears more frequently as "Twinkie-Weiner Sandwich" (current article title) than "Twinkie-Wiener Sandwich" (correct title?) Well, first off, it should definately be Twinkie-Wiener, as this would be the correct spelling.
Secondly, why this is an article at all, and not just elaborated on in Weird Al's entry is beyond me. JeffyP 15:11, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
I think it should be an article in and of itself, because it has relevance outside of just Weird Al (a search on google reveals that) and there are many culturally signifigant recipes on here. I will move the page to "Twinkie-Wiener" which should create a redirect from "Twinkie-Weiner" in case people still use that spelling. Cardsplayer4life 15:30, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Personallly I use the ei spelling its part of my e-mail, and countless membership names. Cody Schmidt 14:00, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No Vegan Versions of this

I need to add this, as there's obviously a problem. Even with a veggie dog in it's place, a twinkie weiner sandwich will NOT be vegan, as twinkies themselves along with Cheez Whiz are neither vegan. (Look up the link for vegan, vegans do not eat ANY animal products, dairy included). Also, don't twinkies contain animal fat? Can anyone confirm that "Weird Al" actually eats these anymore? If not I'd say to go ahead and strip that comment.

Yes, I think it is just vegetarian, not vegan. I changed it on the page. Thanks for the catch. (Cardsplayer4life 21:04, 3 August 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Cheez Whiz vs. Easy Cheese

Someone keeps putting "Easy Cheese" in place of "Cheez Whiz". I have absolutely no problem with a change if that is indeed accurate, but the current reference provided is to Cheeze Whiz, so please provide a different reference if you would like to make the change. (Cardsplayer4life 21:12, 4 May 2006 (UTC))

I think I know the source of the confusion: the movie UHF, which shows him using Easy Cheese. Cheez Whiz is a spread, it does not use an aerosol applicator like was used in the movie. Both products are made by Kraft, so it's doubtful Kraft would market Cheez Whiz in a similar container to Easy Cheese. QED: It would seem, since UHF shows Easy Cheese and the official website says Cheez Whiz, that BOTH are correct. -EmiOfBrie 23:45, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Sounds good, a note of this would probably be appropriate in the article, with suitable references of course. (Cardsplayer4life 13:31, 6 May 2006 (UTC))
Has the use of Cheez Whiz instead of Easy Cheese ever actually been shown or described in any official Weird Al production? In UHF it's clearly Easy Cheese, so I'm inclined to attribute the Cheez Whiz specification to a mistake, if it hasn't definitively been shown elsewhere.--Arteitle 16:00, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
I see someone tried to take out the reference to Cheez Whiz again. Can anyone actually provide a source for the ingredient being Cheez Whiz? In UHF it was clearly Easy Cheese. --Arteitle 02:57, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
The only current reference is to "Cheez Whiz" (the recipe at the bottom). If a change to "Easy Cheese" was to be made, there would need to be at least one reference to that. Every reference to it that I could find when typing in "Twinkie Weiner Sandwich" or "Twinkie Wiener Sandwich" (switching the "ei" to "ie" in Wiener, because it is often misspelled) to Google yields "Cheez Whiz", or "Spray Cheese" (or some variant), but none I have found with "Easy Cheese". This could just be a mistake that has propogated, but since it is so widespread, I would favor leaving it in since most references are to Cheez Whiz. (instead of Easy Cheese) I might even support changing all references of "Easy Cheese" to "spray cheese", or some variant, since some people might not know what "Easy Cheese" is. (much less commonly known than "Cheez Whiz" I would expect) [1] [2] [3] [4] (Cardsplayer4life 07:10, 13 June 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Copyvio

I had to remove the recipe section because it violated the copyright of the page linked to in the external links section. A recipe can't be copyrighted, but the description can be, so it just needs to be rewritten. - furrykef (Talk at me) 15:30, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I re-wrote it to make it conform. (Cardsplayer4life 19:47, 3 June 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Deletion

If this article was nominated for deletion and the vote was "delete", why is it still around? -Phoenixrod 02:25, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

It appears that MarkSweep (talk contribs) had intended to protect the deleted page, but failed to. It seems he just blanked the page and added {{deletedpage}}; as for why the page wasn't deleted, and why MarkSweep thought it needed to be protected from recreation -- I don't know. The article was recreated about four months later, which wasn't a problem since there was no consensus to protect the deleted page. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 03:16, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Very odd. The article currently looks fleshed out enough (and has a couple of references) that I doubt it would be deleted if it had to go through the wringer again. So I'm not complaining! But I've never before seen a page before that said something like "This article was nominated for deletion on 2005-09-22. The result of the discussion was delete." Usually articles disappear when that happens. :) -Phoenixrod 06:33, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
