TV Prima

TV Prima (official name Prima televize) is Czech private television station. Its channel is broadcasted from Prague. Its current keeper is firm FTV Prima, spol. s r. o., general manager Aleksandras Cesnavicius.

The channel has broadcasted since 1993. First only in Prague and Central Bohemia under name FTV Premiéra, later Premiéra TV. It has held a broadcasting licence since 1994 with a condition that a piece of the broadcasting time will be used for local and regional broadcasters. But in fact their total porportion of the local programming has been gradually lowered. The name of station is Prima televize (which in Czech means both "prime television" and "nice television") since 1997. In 2003 Prima's broadcasting licence was extended until 28 June 2018.

In autumn 2005 it was purcharsed by MTG [citation needed].
