TV Mayhem
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
TV Mayhem was a replacement of Hey Hey It's Saturday, and aired from September 1991 for just six weeks, it was originally to run for 40 weeks. It starred Chris Evans, later to co-host The Big Breakfast in 1992 on Channel 4. It was cancelled after TV-am lost its licence to GMTV on October 16.
Neither Hey Hey It's Saturday or TV Mayhem ever enjoyed the success of the Wide Awake Club or WAC '90.
TV-am replaced TV Mayhem with Cartoon World, which as the name suggests showed just cartoons, which ran from November 1991, until TV-am's demise in December 1992.
