TV 2 News

TV 2 News (former working title: TV 2 Nyhedskanalen[1]) is a Danish language television news channel which started broadcasting on December 1, 2006. It's the first 24-hour news channel in Denmark.
There's editorial offices at TV 2's headquarters, Kvægtorvet in Odense, and in Copenhagen.[1]

The channel airs news from the TV 2 Nyhederne staff, but there will still be employed some 85 people for TV 2 News.[2] The distribution of domestic versus international news will be about 2-to-1.[3]
An example of a day on the channel[3] (titles are translated literally):
- 06:00 – 09:00: News you can use – news with emphasis on traffic reports (most likely from The Danish Road Directorate) and weather forecasts from TV 2 Vejret.
- 09:00 – 16:00: News as it happens – emphasis on politics, finance, domestic and international news.
- 16:00 – 18:00: News that fascinate – emphasis on movies, fashion, culture, cars etc.
- 18:00 – 21:00: News – the day in headlines – news in headlines plus finance, sports and weather.
- 21:00 – 23:00: News that make you smarter - a theme, for example politics, money and "going out".
- 23:00 – 00:15: The day's final news – news in headlines plus longer interviews.
- 00:15 – 06:00: Updates and reruns of the previous day's broadcasts.
