Tuzluca

Tuzluca (Armenian: Կոգհբ (Latin transliteration: Koghb)) is a district of Iğdır Province of eastern Turkey, near the border with Iran, Azerbaijan (the region of Nakhichevan)and Armenia.
Tuz means salt in Turkish and the town is named for the salt mines that used to be operated here. Today Tuzluca is a highland retreat for asthma patients. Apricots and other fruit and vegetables are grown here.
