Tusket Islands

The Tusket Islands are a number of islands located in the Atlantic Ocean, south of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The islands stretch along the coast from Pinkney's Point to Wedgeport. The islands are, Allen Island, Pease Island, Spectacle Island, Ellenwood Island, Murder Island, Holmes Island, Haymaker Island, Turpentine Island, Owls Head Island, Eagle Island, Marks Island, Candlebox Island, Tarpaulin Island, Dog and Calf Islands, Big Island, Green Island and a few others. Tusket Island itself has the highest elevation of 100 feet and Bald Tusket Island is 50 feet high. There was only a few houses ever built on the islands. [1]
