Tusenfryd (literally "Thousand Joys") is an amusement park located at Vinterbro, Norway. It was officially opened June 11, 1988, after a building period of 18 months. It is the only amusement park that the inhabitants of Oslo can visit on a one-day trip, and therefore it has quite an advantage in the Norwegian amusement park business. As of 2004, Tusenfryd averages at 445,000 visitors a year, and has a revenue of 137 million NOK a year. [2]

Tusenfryd enjoys quite a revenue, which allows the park management to build new rides almost each year. In 2006, a new ride, the "Speed Monster" opened.

Speed Monster is an Intamin designed "Rocket Coaster" with a 6000 HP hydraulic launch that rockets riders from zero to 90 km/h in 2.2 seconds. The rollercoaster then traverses a loop around the escalator at the entrance of the park. Riders experience 4 G's, and are inverted three times. It cost 70 million NOK to build.

Opened in 2003, Super Splash is a water coaster with a 75° drop. There is only one drop, creating a splash 18 feet high and 78 feet wide.

Thunder coaster is a "classic" wooden roller coaster built by Vekoma. Riders can experience 3 G's and speeds of up to 100 km/h. The highest point of the coaster is 39 meters.

This attraction was built in 1988, and was the first roller coaster an TusenFryd. The name literally means "The loop". The ride is a custom Vekoma looping coaster with a top speed of 75 km/h.

The SkyCoaster is an attraction designed to replicate the feeling of skydiving. The ride is not included with standard admission.
