[edit] Hazelwood
(My question - Turnstep)
I deleted per This page may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. The given reason is: It is a very short article providing little or no context (CSD A1), contains no content whatsoever (CSD A3), consists only of links elsewhere (CSD A3) or a rephrasing of the title (CSD A3). The only content was Hazelwood Central High School is a high school in the Hazelwood School District in Missouri, USA plus two external links. As per the last reason given (rephrasing of the title), I deleted. Elf-friend 13:36, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
With the large backlog of articles to be speedied (you can help! ;-) ), one has to make quick decisions and everybody might not always agree with ones's decisions. The way I see it, if you question my speedy you can always put it up on "questioned speedies" or write an expanded article on the school, because an article having just one line plus a couple of external links is just a bit sad after 30 edits. [edit] Did you know? {{prod}} can have a parameter.
Hello there. You have proposed the article Dirtyback for deletion without providing a reason why in the {{prod}} template. You may be interested to know that you can add your reasoning like that: {{prod|Add reason for deletion here}}. This will make your reasoning show up in the article's deletion notice. It will also aid other users in considering your suggestion on the Proposed Deletions log. See also: How to propose deletion of an article. Sandstein 21:29, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Not really sure if non-English redirects are really neccesary but they are created everywhere. See Special:Allpages and you will find a multitude of them. I create them as guides for foreign users that speak another language, nothing more. Moe ε 23:15, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Żydokomuna
Please be my guest to speedy keep Żydokomuna. I have no interest in its deletion (or for that matter keeping it I suppose), I merely corrected the formatting of the original nomination to make the nomination work correctly. I have no idea whether or not the article is wothy of deletion and am in no position to make a nomination. As no one has yet proposed a reason to delete, it should be speedy kept and then renominated if someone has a problem with it and is willing to state a reason. Thanks Cool3 21:29, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] You suck
Im not a vandal. I'm American. You suck to the max.
Question for you, Turnstep: We had a page that was deleted, The Society of Asian Pwners. What criteria in Wikipedia did this not meet?
[edit] Gurunath AfD
Hi Turnstep,
I think the decision to keep was a little hasty. Firstly there were 3 votes (including NOM) to delete, and 4 votes to keep. However, the 4th keep vote was put in by a confirmed sockpuppet of another voter, and it was put in 8 days after the nomination, while the AfD was supposed to end after 5 days. Also, nobody cares about this article - nobody voted on this issue except users that were directly involved with the article or friends thereof. Keeping an article on a name like Gurunath is like keeping an article on a name like John. It doesn't make any sense. John has 2 billion hits on google - google hits don't tell you anything about significance in relation to a name. I think that it's a strange move to keep this article on wikipedia. What is the article going to say? "Gurunath is a given name in India."?? Hamsacharya dan 01:36, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Isopropyl for speedy deletion
Dear Turnstep, We don't know for sure if "the person" Isopropyl is not "patent nonsense." I don't think we should jump to conclusions so soon. TTYL -DJ to the fifth power
- Hmm, looks like some chap tried to speedy my user page. Wonder what I did to him. Thanks for taking care of it, Turnstep :) Isopropyl 05:28, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
You know what you did Isopropyl, you made my new, legitimate article a candidate for speedy deletion. I just figured anyone that would be that ridiculous and malicious must be the embodiment of "nonsense." So I labeled your profile appropriately. I DEMAND THAT YOU REINSTATE MY LJT ARTICLE IMMEDIATELY.

You recently deleted Zealous Fuel as a nn-band. You notated that they were released on cassette only. This is innaccurate. I am holding their CD in my hand. They are even listed for sale on the Tower Records website which would indicate major label distrobution. They seem perfectly legitamate. A simple Google search produces 100+ hits. By all appearances they seem to reach some minimum critera for notability. I quite like the band, I would appreciate it if you undeleted them. Josefritz 14:19, 30 April 2006 (UTC)joseFritz

[edit] The Puya
Just so you are aware, there was a dispute over the notability, etc, of the article The puya. To allow for proper discussion, I have taken the interim step of restoring the article, therefore, a more appropriate AfD can be held. Thanks --Jay(Reply) 22:59, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Whats wrong with the D Series
I just recently started this Wikipedia listing thing. I recently in April made an article about the cult series D. You posted that it was of no use. How do you even know about this game? It was exculsive content until it was copy and pasted to other sites, maybe instead of wasting yours and my time, try finding articles that need to be reported to the AFD, instead of bieng some giant Wikisnob.
Have a nice day....

You are retarded
[edit] Jose Fritz
I have made the suggested edits in the subpage as you instructed.
They meet two criteria for notability:
1. Under bullet #1 the first bullet point "Has had a charted hit on any national music chart, in at least one large or medium-sized country." Zealous Fuel charted at #99 in CMJ in January of 2002. CMJ has been a national radio trade magazine for almost 25 years. zealous Fuel continues to be mentioned in the CMJ reviews of other bands as a genre, scene or region reference point.
2. Under bullet #5 Has been featured in multiple non-trivial published works in reliable and reputable media (excludes things like school newspapers, personal blogs, etc...). I found two easily: www.pitchfork.com; Prog-resiste (a french prog rock mag.) which also maintains a website at www.progresiste.com
On a related not of notability: Their last CD is currently on ebay for $99.
thank you for giving me this opportunity to lobby for an undelete. 67.106.175.130 18:40, 4 May 2006 (UTC)JoseFritz

[edit] Floriberta Jiménez Torres
I think that was a rather questionable close you made. When a nomination is well-expressed (as it was in this case), it is perfectly reasonable to simply state "per nom." And as for the argument what is not notable is not established by us, that seems to be contradictory - what is the purpose of AfD if not to establish consensus grounds for notability? [edit] Fritibrulation
Thank you for noticing my contribution to Wikipedia.
I question your seemingly arbitrary decision (within less than 1 hour) that my contribution of "Fritibrulation" is "patent nonsense". Certainly it is a very recently coined term, but it was coined by Dr. Don Campbell[2] and presented at the Barbershop Harmony Society's annual Harmony University in the presence of an international audience consisting of chorus directors and music educators. The technique was rehearsed with a select chorus of mixed voices and was executed in a public performance in St. Joseph, MO on the evening of August 5th, 2006.
Having read your User:Turnstep page, I am surprised that you have taken such a non-inclusionist step. I had endeavored to post this term for others, including Dr. Campbell, to edit and expand. Your quick deletion has, I feel, unfairly prevented this process. I don't think you would presume to expurgate other coined terms in music education such as Audiation; I would like to know your thinking on this word.
If you have any advice on how to avoid a repeat deletion of this item, I would be appreciative.
Keep up the good work on making Wikipedia an excellent resource.

P.S. If I could patent nonsense, I would have retired years ago. Cheers!

[edit] AfD
What can be done to promote an AfD? There has been no comments, as people fail to see it. I need people to come in and vote for either keeping it or delting the article. Can you give any suggestions? --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 13:13, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- There is not a lot one can do. Mostly just let it run its course. If it does not gather enough comments, an admin will often relist it to generate more. You could possibly contact the people who have edited the article, who will no doubt have an interest in it. Turnstep 01:52, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Islamic Barnstar Award
Please offer your opinion, vote, or whatever about your choice for the image to be used with the Islamic Barnstar Award at the Barnstar proposals page. Although there is consensus for the concept of an Islamic Barnstar Award, some editors would like to change the image for the award. I was just thinking you should be aware of this discussion because you have contributed to Islamic-related articles, received the Islamic Barnstar Award, or have contributed to the Islam-related Wikiprojects, etc.--JuanMuslim 1m 16:17, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
