Turners Hill transmitting station

The Turners Hill transmitting station is a facility for telecommunications and broadcasting on Turners Hill about 2 km west of Oldbury, West Midlands (grid reference SO969887). It includes a free-standing tower built of lattice steel and a free-standing tower built of reinforced concrete. The latter tower, which is called 'Turners Hill 2' is one of the few concrete towers in the UK.

The slip formed concrete section with microwave galleries is 33m high surmounted with a self-supporting 47m high Rasmussen solid steel rounds lattice tower. Construction was completed in October 1998.
