Turn Up The Beat is the debut single by Australian pop singer Tina Arena, released in 1985. It was never released outside Australia. Despite television exposure on a number of programmes, the single was not a commercial success and failed to make any chart impact. As no follow up album was released, the songs on this single (the title track and the ballad Dreamer) are among the rarest in Arena's catalogue and copies on either 7" or 12" vinyl are treasured collectibles.
Pam Reswick and Steve Werfel, who penned this song with C. Lieberman, went on to co-write Arena's 1994 hit singles Chains.
