Is this my comments? Can other people write here? Hmmmm....
[edit] Welcome!
Hello, Tunheim, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
This page, your talk page, is for other users to communicate with you. Everyone can write here, just like everyone can write in every Wikipedia page. Also, I have replied to your question at the help desk. Again, welcome! -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 16:45, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sandboxes
Hi. The best place for experiments like your recent edit at the help desk is a sandbox, where you're free to test whatever's on your mind. You can also have your very own personal sandbox. In fact, I have created a sandbox for you at User:Tunheim/Sandbox. Also, keep in mind that the Wikipedia software, MediaWiki, treats every page the same way - so just like you can edit things written in an article (articles would be a mess otherwise), you are able to edit posts in talk pages. However, it can in some cases be considered impolite to edit your comments once they're posted (unless you have noticed a mistake you wish to fix). -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 17:12, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
