[edit] Linking dates

It is not normal Wikipedia style to link a year (or almost anything else) over and over when it appears multiple times in an article. The only real exception is month/day combination: that's because February 4, for example, will show up as February 4 or 4 February, depending on a user's settings, and we want to make that happen on every occurrence. -- Jmabel | Talk 02:09, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages

When moving pages to new names please use the MOVE function located at the top of every article. When using this function it also moves the talk pages and the history to the new article name. K1Bond007 01:52, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)

Re: Running behind you? I saw the changes mentioned on /To Fix and decided to look at it. The media line was removed for being a multi-platform game. Simple as that. What kind of valuable information is listing DVD as the Xbox media anyway? If it runs on Xbox, then people should assume that it's using Xbox media. If it's worth special mentioning then it should be listed in the actual article, not cluttered in the infobox. I realise you're just copying and pasting the infobox, but the infobox being used is specified for one specific platform (See Wikiproject). The image size was changed because I saw it while editing and decided to change it (since I was there) to the standard 185px that we've been using on all Xbox, PS2 and GC games (mostly anyway), I was unaware of the actual size of the image while editing. If you think I'm following you, I'm sorry, it just so happens that every Tom Clancy game is on my watchlist as well as Andre's /To Fix. K1Bond007 07:16, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)
If you feel it's truly necessary to have for that specific title, then go ahead and put it back in. I don't care, I'm not going to argue about. I believe that all games should have the infobox customized for whatever. I don't believe it's necessary for this specific title, however. If the media is different than the norm, then it's probably worth mentioning in the article anyway. K1Bond007 07:58, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)
Exclusive titles that come on more than one media ex: Half-Life 2 - CD, DVD, Steam. Mostly just computer games. I honestly don't believe the media line should be in there at all for console games, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise if it's worth mentioning at all it should be listed in the article. Take a game like XIII for example. It's available on 5 different platforms (GameCube DVD, PlayStation DVD, XBox DVD, PC CD, Mac CD) - at this point, for an infobox, it's just clutter - especially since 3 of those are no-brainers. [edit] DS Article

You beat me to fixing the Nintendo DS OS section! Here's how I was going to rewrite it:

The Nintendo DS features a menu system, visible by either powering up the DS with no cartridge inserted, or, configurably, immediately after every power-on. Two options are available. First is a settings menu, offering areas for configuring user information (name, date of birth, favorite color, time, etc.), GBA game screen usage (top or bottom), and for configuring the built-in alarm clock. Second is PictoChat, a utility that allows users to communicate with other DS users wirelessly via an on-screen keyboard or by handwriting and drawings, utilizing the DS touch screen and stylus for input.

[edit] Return of the Untagged Image project

You were kind enough to contribute to the Wikipedia:Untagged images project; I beg to draw your attention to part 2 of the project - there are about 12,000 more images in need of tagging. Any assistance you could provide would be most welcome. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk)

[edit] I'll Be

Hi there!

On Edwin McCain and Misguided Roses, you wrote that "I'll Be" was the top single or song, respectively, of 1998. Where? Please specify any country/genre/broadcaster/chart where this occured. On this apparent copy of the 1998 Billboard top 100 it shows at number 71 for the year, having peaked at number 5.

I'll remove the assertions for now, to prevent any false conclusions. But certainly I wouldn't be surprised if it topped a radio format airplay chart, a regional chart, etc. So please do add anything you can. :) Cheers! Samaritan 01:00, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
