Tubbercurry (Tobar an Choire "The Well of the Rock" in Irish) is a small town in County Sligo, Ireland. The town is located on the N17 road. A disused railway line, the "Burma Road", passes through the town and there is a campaign (West=On=Track) to have it reopened, as part of a Western Railway Corridor from Sligo to Limerick. There is an excellent 9 hole golf course on the town's edge, and it is home to Saint Attracta's Community School, which was opened after the merger of Banada Abbey Secondary School and the Marist Convent. The town has grown rapidly over recent years with the opening of new shops, bars, and hotels, some which have become local landmarks. Whilst a busy and active town during the day, it also has very active night life, Friday and Saturday nights being the busiest.
St. Nathy is the patron saint of the area.
