[edit] Who am I and what does Wikipedia mean to me?

My name is Tuan, a.k.a. Lancelot, and I contribute by fighting vandalism. Hopefully, I will work on articles for programming, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and japanimation. Of course, that will happen if I'm not bogged down by AP classwork (I'm taking way too many).

Anyways, I have been using Wikipedia as my primary reference source for as long as I remembered. Wikipedia is a great concept. Where else can mankind add information onto a digital encyclopedia, where technically, every being with an access to the internet can become a contributer? Anyone who makes a constructive contribution to the any of the Wikimedia's projects advances the knowledge of those who seek answers or those who wants to gain new knowledge. After all, there is no such thing as useless knowledge.

I began editing around late November 2006. My quest is to improve the quality of the encyclopedia, so I can convince my friends that Wikipedia is an authentic source of facts. Right now, most of them deny the legitimacy of Wikipedia. However, a slowly increasing number of them have begun to use the verb "wiki" as in "Just wiki <insert name to search for here>" or "Wiki it." Who knows? When "google" was added to the dictionary as a verb, they should not leave out the verb, "wiki."
