Trunk build

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A trunk build refers to a build from the main development line of a large software project that is in revision control. In a software project that is currently under development, new features may be available only in the trunk build, which would require users to check out the latest version of the code from the source code repository. Generally, such development versions are only suitable for experienced programmers or people who want to do alpha testing. Other users generally find it more advisable to wait for a new release.
