Truden (German) or Trodena (Italian) is a comune (municipality) in South Tyrol in the Italian region Trentino-South Tyrol, located about 35 km northeast of Trento and about 20 km south of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 984 and an area of 20.7 km2.[1]

The municipality of Truden contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Fontanefredde, Molini di Trodena, and San Lugano.

Truden borders the following municipalities: Aldein, Altrei, Capriana, Carano, and Montan.
