- This article is about the Swiss municipality. For the brewery term, see Trub (brewing).
Trub is the largest municipality (62 km²) in size, but not in population, in the Emmental region of Switzerland (canton of Bern). Today, Trub has just under 1,700 inhabitants (2004), but as a result of centuries of emigration from the Emmental region, over 43,000 people are registered as citizens of Trub and about 1 in every 160 Swiss citizens trace their ancestry back to this community.
