it says that 1200 die annually in the US, but it would seem like the number should be 1200 die daily in the US. Aznfurball 02:10, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

This article tells us all about the nice commercials, but it doesn't tell us anything about the group in charge of making the commercials--the people backing the commercials, etc. Can anyone update that?

I've got a question.. Why is there no mention of the blatantly unfair advantage they have and are more or less abusing? Truth has full advertising rights on TV, where as tobacco companies dont. More over, they always portray cigarette companies as evil nazis who subject people to shock torture until they smoke a product comprable to crack in sheer life destroying power. | None of these maybe be 'true', but none the less none of the tobacco companies have ANY chance to refute these claims, respond to the out of context quotes, or trying to make internal memos look like PR reports. In short, they are using a heaping stack of bull shit to get a point across.

[edit] Criticism

These people need to stop beating a dead horse. Everybody knows that cigarettes are bad for you now. Also, whatever the tobacco companies have done, they have already paid for it; as seen in the many billion dollar lawsuits. This is just another bunch of ultra-liberals on a pet crusade.
