Troubador (トルバドール Torubadōru) is a Plum Tree Spirit who also happens to be Urd's ex-boyfriend. He's named after the Troubadors, courteous poets from souther France during the late 11th to 14th centuries, and refers for his penchant for singing. He loves to sing, although he's not really that good at it (only Belldandy seems to appreciate his singing) and he can be quite jealous and stubborn.

Troubador broke up with Urd so that he could pursue his dream, which was to capture and tame the legendary golden nightingale, for which Urd seemingly never forgave him. He eventually does return to earth in pursuit of the legendary bird where he runs to Urd once again and at the same time mistakes Keiichi for Urd's new boyfriend which greatly upsets him.

In the end, it turns out that all he needed was the "Tear of Truth" from a Goddess to unlock the scroll with the song that would summon the nightingale. He obtains the tear from Urd when he showed her the ring that she gave him all those years ago. He then summons the nightingale with the song (after being blasted by Urd), however the bird leaves after singing terribly and Troubador has to leave Urd once again. This time however, they part on more amicable terms with Urd telling Troubador that while she was hurt by him choosing his dream over her she didn't want him to be a coward and give up his dream.
