Tronzano Lago Maggiore is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 80 km northwest of Milan and about 30 km north of Varese, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 270 and an area of 11.0 km2.[1]

The municipality of Tronzano Lago Maggiore contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bassano, la Costa, la Mora, Riva, Lanterna, Poggio, il Bersagliere, Ronco Scigolino, Monti di Bassano, Monte Borgna, la Crocetta, Santa Maria di Lourdes, and Porto.
