Talk:Trolltech
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't know why the investor information was removed. It was not "old investor info", as the commit description said. The reason I added the investor information is that a number of people claim that Trolltech is owned by the Canopy Group. This misinformation was even added to some Wiki pages.
I readded a shorter version of the investor information, simply saying: "Trolltech is mainly owned by its employees."

We need to find some way to get this image onto the page. The labels would best be done in text, I think. I'm no good with the HTML wizardry for these images, so hopefully someone else can put it into the article with the labels. The chart was made from the numbers in the article. It didn't add up to 100%, so the remainder should be labelled "Other". Of course, I wouldn't be upset if someone replaced this chart with a better one or gave reason why it should not be in the article. Link to image

"Trolltech’s sales have doubled year on year since the company’s birth. This success is a reflection both of the quality of Qt and of how enjoyable it is to use. For most of the company’s existence, sales and marketing were handled by just a couple of people. Yet, in less than a decade, Qt has gone from being a “secret” product, known only to a select group of professionals, to having thousands of customers and tens of thousands of open source developers all around the world."
Some of that really isn't NPOV, but some of it's useful info. I'd say it could be cut down to: "Trolltech’s sales have doubled year on year since the company’s birth. For most of the company’s existence, sales and marketing were handled by just a couple of people." --John Lunney 13:15, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
