- July 1, 1970 - Typhoon Olga reached its peak with 260 km/h (160 mph) winds.
- July 2, 2002 - Typhoon Chataan (pictured) passed over the Chuuk Islands, causing torrential rain that killed 37 people.
- July 3, 1963 - The final storm of the 1962-63 Southern Hemisphere tropical cyclone season dissipates to the west of New Zealand, becoming the only Southern Hemisphere tropical cyclone on record to exist in two seasons.
- July 4, 1974 - Typhoon Gilda reached its peak strength with 155 km/h (100 mph) winds before it affected Japan and South Korea, killing 128 and causing $1.5 billion of damage.
- July 5, 2005 - Hurricane Cindy (pictured) made landfall in southeast Louisiana as a minimal hurricane, causing flooding and a severe blackout in New Orleans. Cindy caused a total of $320 million of damage
- July 6, 2001 - Typhoon Utor hit southeastern China. Utor brought heavy rain to China which caused 144 casualties and nearly $300 million of damage.
- July 7, 1993 - Hurricane Calvin (pictured) hit the Mexico coast near Manzanillo. Calvin caused over $32 million of damage and killed 34 people.
- July 8, 2005 - Hurricane Dennis (pictured) made its second Cuban landfall with 140 mph (220 km/h) winds. Dennis caused between $4 and $6 billion of damage, mostly in Cuba and the United States
- July 9, 1995 - Tropical Storm Barry (pictured) hit Hart Island, Nova Scotia. Barry brought only minor effects to the Canadian province.
- July 10, 2006 - Typhoon Ewiniar (pictured) hit South Korea as a Severe Tropical Storm, passing very close to Seoul. Ewiniar killed least 40 in various countries.
- July 11, 1967 - Typhoon Carla hit Taiwan, bringing record rainfall to the island. 69 died on the island.
- July 12, 1996 - Hurricane Bertha (pictured) hit South Carolina as a Category 2 hurricane. Bertha killed 12 and caused $270 million of damage.
- July 13, 1965 - Typhoon Freda made landfall on northern Luzon in the Philippines. Freda caused heavy flooding in the Philippines and southern China.
- July 14, 2006 - Tropical Storm Bilis (pictured) hit Fujian, China as a tropical storm. Bilis killed over 600 and caused $2.5 billion of damage in southeastern China.
- July 15, 2003 - Hurricane Claudette (pictured) hit Port O'Connor, Texas as a minimal hurricane, causing nearly $200 million of damage.
- July 16, 2005 - Hurricane Emily (pictured) reached its peak as a minimal Category 5 hurricane near Jamaica, becoming the earliest Category 5 on record in the Atlantic basin.
- July 17, 1983 - Typhoon Vera (pictured) hit the Philippines as a 140 km/h (85 mph) typhoon, before passing into the South China Sea. Vera killed over 100 in the Philippines and on Hainan Island.
- July 18, 2005 - Typhoon Haitang (pictured) made landfall on Taiwan, causing many landslides and flash floods on the island.
- July 19, 1978 - Hurricane Fico (track pictured) passed to the south of Hawaii as a Category 3 hurricane, bringing heavy surf to Big Island.
- July 20, 1974 - Typhoon Ivy made landfall on eastern Luzon in the Philippines, killing 66 people.
- July 21, 2006 - Tropical Storm Beryl (pictured) briefly made landfall on Nantucket, Massachusetts. Beryl only brought minor effects to the East Coast of the United States and Atlantic Canada.
- July 22, 2003 - Typhoon Imbudo (pictured), also called Typhoon Harurot, made landfall in the eastern Philippines. Imbudo killed a total of 41 casualties in the Philippines and in China.
- July 23, 2005 - Tropical Storm Franklin (pictured) reached its peak with a central pressure of 997 mbar (hPa) to the southwest of Bermuda. Franklin had minimal effects on land.
- July 24, 1979 - Tropical Storm Claudette made landfall near the Texas-Louisiana border, bringing record levels of rainfall to the United States. The resulting floods (pictured) caused about $400 million of damage.
- July 25, 1985 - Hurricane Bob (pictured) hit South Carolina as a Category 1 hurricane. Bob caused $20 million in damage.
- July 26, 1926 - The Nassau Hurricane of 1926 (track pictured) reached its peak strength with winds of 140 mph (220 km/h) winds over the central Bahamas. The hurricane killed 287 people and devastated Nassau.
- July 27, 1943 - A US Air Force pilot flew his AT-6 Texan trainer directly into a hurricane off the Gulf Coast of the United States (track pictured), making the first intentional flight into a tropical cyclone.
- July 28, 1996 - Hurricane Cesar (pictured) made landfall in Nicaragua. Cesar killed 67 and caused over $39 million of damage.
- July 29, 2004 - Hurricane Darby (pictured) reached its peak strength with 120 mph (195 km/h) winds in the open Pacific. Darby later brought heavy rain to Hawaii.
- July 30, 1978 - Tropical Storm Amelia (pictured) made landfall in Texas, causing severe flooding that led to 33 deaths.
- July 31, 1996 - Typhoon Herb (pictured) hit Taiwan near its peak strength with 240 km/h (150 mph) winds. Herb caused $5nbsp;billion of damage on Taiwan and killed about 500, mostly in mainland China.
