[edit] Summary
Shown in the map are all the lines of the Mexico City trolleybus system current as of February 2006, as well as the Xochimilco Light Rail line. The map I used as a source can be found in the website of Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos del Distrito Federal, the public company that manages the network (found here, Flash required).
A good number of major streets and avenues are shown (and labeled!) to provide a better context as to where each trolley line is located within the city. However, Mexico City is huge and there is a high probability you will get lost if you attempt to use this map as your only guide through the city. Moreover, there are major streets omitted in this map, for instance:
- Most ejes viales are not shown.
- Insurgentes and Paseo de la Reforma are absent too. This is because only half of Insurgentes was shown in the map I used as a source (!!) and Reforma was not there at all.
- Anillo Periférico and Circunvalación are probably not shown complete either (I am really not sure of this one, because I know different sections of these expressways have different names and I do not know them all by heart).
Also, metro stations are not marked. This is because it is pointless to mark them with a logo other than the standard metro logo (which is not available under a free license). This is the reason why the Xochimilco Light Rail stations in this map do not have their logos shown either.
