[edit] Mike Tehranchi

If he is notable (my Google hits) I'd say go ahead and start the article. Someone will be along with the date of birth later.

For reference, here is the article on notability guidelines for academics on Wikipedia. Cheers! Panchitavilletalk 13:14, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! I've created his page. Thanks for the friendly intro too^.

I'm still a bit of a learner here and I don't do a lot - I just add some trivia to pages (hence the name) and correct the odd typo and stuff.Jim 14:08, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey, not a problem! That's mostly what I do too -- we're quite a needed species to keep things looking spiffy!
One thing I did do was move the page to Mike Tehranchi, as surnames should always be capitalized for people around here. (As for the welcome, that can be done quite easily for others by typing {{subst:welcome}}. See you around -- I'll probably be doing some typo fixing myself! [edit] Copley Medal

Hello Triviator, do you really know who is going to win this year's Copley medal? I didn't think it was officially announced yet? Probably a fairly safe choice though!

It appeared on the Gonville and Caius college website news section (here), as an announcement by Hawking himself on the 6th of June this year, but unfortunately the news seems to be out of date because it's no longer there. [edit] Sconcing

I beefed up this page a bit and added a couple of refs (though not everything is exactly referenced as it ought to be). What do you think? I wasn't too sure about the strong link you implied between sconcing and the college graces - I think that's most likely just the one aspect that may have survived at one specific college.... --Casper Gutman 10:24, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks - I started the page in the hope that it would develop like that and people with more knowledge than me would add to it, so that's great! Jim 23:38, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
