The Triumph Rocket III has the largest displacement engine of any mass production motorcycle in the world (as of August 2006), at 2,294 cc. The only machine to exceed it (by 6000 cc) is the Boss Hoss, which is largely custom-built and is produced in low volumes.

The Rocket3 produces 147 ft·lbf of torque at 2,500 rpm and 140 bhp at 5,750 rpm. Despite its size, it is described as having good balance and "light and easy steering" even at low speeds.

The Rocket 3 is the fastest production motorcycle in the world from 0 to 40 mph.[citation needed]
