Trishul (film)

Trishul is an Indian Hindi film directed by Yash Chopra and produced by Gulshan Rai in 1978. Music is by Khayyam and it is written by Salim-Javed and the lyrics are by Sahir Ludhianvi. It stars Amitabh Bachchan as the illegitimate son of a construction baron (Sanjeev Kumar) and his first love (Waheeda Rehman) who he gives up in order to marry a wealthy heiress. Sanjeev does not know of this son, who grows up and after his mother's death comes to Delhi to take revenge on his father. Shashi Kapoor and Poonam Dhillon play his step siblings. Rakhee plays his love interest while Hema Malini plays Shashi's love interest. Prem Chopra is the villain and Sachin the love angle with Poonam Dhillon.
